Our mission
To lift up those who deserve a chance
Many of us travelled a long way and carried a lot to reach Universiti Malaya. RKS is here so that the journey does not stop at the door. A home, good neighbours and someone to turn to: that is what lets a student keep going.

Our spirit
We do not wait. We show up.
Nobody told us to. In October 2026, housemates pooled their own money, bought brushes and soap, and spent the weekend making their houses shine. That is how things are done here.
- Gotong royong. Whole houses turn up, sleeves rolled.
- Shared kitchens. Everyone cooks, everyone cleans up.
- A PIC in every house. A housemate you can always turn to.

Our people
Run by students, for each other
RKS is looked after by student volunteers who live the same life as everyone else here. Each house has a PIC and an assistant PIC, and together they keep the lights on, the houses in order and the neighbours talking.
* 14 beds in each house, 84 in all. At any time an estimated one to four rooms are closed while a problem in the room is fixed, so the number of residents can be lower.

Tomorrow's teachers, engineers and so much more
We come from every corner of Malaysia and study in faculties across the university. One day, each of us will carry a degree home to our family.
